Compatible pigment ink for HP DesignJet, Epson SureColor SC-T and Canon imagePROGRAF plotters.
A wide-format plotter is only as productive as its ink supply. Architecture practices, engineering offices, construction firms and print shops run their technical drawings on three platforms in practice — HP DesignJet, Epson SureColor SC-T and Canon imagePROGRAF — and each of them locks you into a specific ink series per machine generation. This page maps every series we supply to the plotter models it fits, so you can confirm the right reference before you order.
Every cartridge on this page is pigment ink, produced for CAD and technical work rather than photo reproduction: dense black line work, crisp 0.02 mm class edge definition, and resistance to water, smudging and fading on uncoated bond, vellum and technical media.
Pigment ink for the HP technical plotter line โ from the entry-level T210/T650 up to the 36-inch production T2500/T2530 and the T1600/T1700/T2600 generation.
UltraChrome pigment ink for Epson's CAD and technical drawing plotters, covering the SC-T2170 through the SC-T7700 series.
Pigment ink tanks for Canon's TA, TM and GP large-format printers used for technical drawings and posters.

1. Read the code on the cartridge you are replacing. Plotter ink series are not interchangeable between machine generations even when the model name looks similar. HP 712 and HP 730 look like neighbours in the range; they fit completely different plotter families.
2. Check the region variant. Epson and HP both issue region-specific references. A SureColor SC-T3400 bought in Europe takes a different code from the same machine sold in North America, and HP lists separate part numbers for EMEA, the Americas and Asia-Pacific on several series.
3. Match the capacity to your monthly volume. Most series come in two or three tank sizes. Low-volume offices are usually better off with the smaller tank to avoid ink sitting past its shelf life; production environments should take the largest tank available to cut cost per drawing and reduce cartridge changes.
4. Decide on black type deliberately. Series that offer both photo black and matte black exist so one plotter can serve presentation work and technical line work. If you print on uncoated bond or vellum, matte black is the one you will consume fastest.
Match the series to the machine, not the other way round. HP DesignJet: T210/T230/T250/T630/T650 use HP 712; T920/T930/T1500/T1530/T2500/T2530 use HP 727; T730/T830 use HP 728; T1600/T1700/T2600 use HP 730; T850/T950 use HP 738. Epson SureColor SC-T machines use the T40, T41 or T50 family depending on the generation. Canon imagePROGRAF TA/TM/GP machines use PFI-030, PFI-120 or PFI-320.
Epson issues region-specific references. The identical plotter sold in Europe and in North America carries different cartridge codes โ for example T41F (Europe) versus T41W (Canada) for the SC-T3400/SC-T5400 class. Always read the code on the cartridge you are replacing.
Both the OEM and our compatible cartridges in this range are pigment ink. Pigment is what CAD and technical printing needs: dense blacks, crisp line edges, and resistance to water, smudging and fading on uncoated media.
