As those new printers ship globally, the 89A installed base migrates to W1590 — and unlike the regional W16x0 lines, W1590 is a worldwide SKU with no regional variants, so one build serves every market you sell into.
The platform itself is new: a developer-roller (DR) architecture with non-magnetic chemical toner and optical toner-level sensing, instead of the old magnetic-roller design. Generic suppliers still shipping a 89A-style build into a W1590 channel are selling a mismatch.
