1.75mm vs 2.85mm (3mm)
Almost every desktop and prosumer FDM printer today uses 1.75 mm filament. The older 2.85 mm (often called 3 mm) format survives mainly on some industrial and older LulzBot-style machines. 1kg vs 3kg spools
The 1 kg spool is the industry standard: easy to ship, easy to swap, easy to color-match across a catalog. 3 kg spools cut per-kg cost and reduce changeovers on high-volume print farms, but they're heavier on the print head and need a spool holder that can take the load. For resale and most B2B buyers, 1 kg is the safe, liquid default; move to 3 kg only once you've validated demand.

Tolerance and quality you can feel
Cheap filament varies in diameter along the spool, which causes under- and over-extrusion. Look for a published tolerance of ±0.02 mm or tighter and laser-gauged consistency. Our spools are held to ±0.02 mm and printed-test verified before sealing.
Vacuum sealing and desiccant
PETG and Nylon are hygroscopic — they pull moisture from air and print with popping and weak layers if stored poorly. Always buy vacuum-sealed spools with desiccant, and keep opened spools in a dry box. We vacuum-seal every spool; for humid climates, request extra desiccant in the carton.
